Stocks to Watch on Fri
HRT:
- Huge volume on HRT today following the record earnings release. IBD this week? We will see:)
- I'm interested in buying it at low 16s tomorrow (if I'm lucky) and my short-term target for HRT is 25.

NGPS:
- NGPS closed above its 50-day MA today with large volume. Its chart looks great at the moment and I see 25 as its next stop.

GIGA:
- GIGA has been on my daytrading list for two days now and I'm still expecting a bounce to 5 from this point very soon. Tight stop-loss is recommended and my entry point is upon break of 4.15 with good volume.

FUEL:
- Got out at 2.35 and re-entered at 2.23 by the close. Its chart still looks good here and I'm looking at 2.7-2.8 to unload.

Well, from my own mind of course:) In fact, every pick I've posted on this site was generated through a complex and time-consuming process - lots of research&analysis, pattern recognition, momentum tracking etc. Research methods and trading techniques can be learned from various sources such as the ones under the Trading Links, books on trading the market, and most importantly your own trading experiences.
Glad to hear you've been hanging around my site since its inception and I hope you enjoy it! Thanx for your comment, David.
I think ISON is looking very good right now. I am new to technical analysis but I know it's a good thing when a stock breaks out of its trading range. Does this count if it is done in after hours? I am planning on buying ISON Monday morning.
I think this is a great site! Would you mind explaining your analysis a little more in depth for newbs like me?
I agree with you, aaron. I missed ISON on Fri since I was concentrating on HRT and NGPS before the market close. It consolidated well for the past 3 days and looks ready to retrace back to 2.8-3 with the after-hour news. However, if it gaps up big tomorrow (ie. 2.65 or above), I will not chase it since there's a major resistance at 2.75-2.80 as I can see from the chart. In that case, the risk vs reward ratio is just too high for me. On the other hand, if it opens in the 2.5s range, I will get in & put a stop-loss below 2.5 and see if it can go up from there.
Now here's my trading advice for newbies to get started and develop to be a good swing trader. First of all, YAHOO! MessageBoard is always the place I've spent most of my research time on everyday. Boards like ISON, TASR, IPIX, GRU, INCX, AIRT, TZOO etc are valuable sources to get info. about which stocks traders are interested in and where momentum is heading to. Secondly, you need to get familiar with various chart patterns and know when to enter a stock & when to exit. Chart patterns are relatively easier to study and you can find lots of websites which can teach you these stuff such as:
www.stockcharts.com
www.chartpatterns.com
But the timing to enter&exit a stock is perhaps the most difficult thing you have to learn in the stock market. After you've learned to recognize different chart patterns, you need to learn how to find resistances and supports of a particular stock. Keep in mind that there are normally multiple resistances&supports and that is the reason why I said trading experiences are crucial. I've developed a sense of recognizing resistances&supports quickly and accurately through my own extensive trading experiences. There were definitely a lot of failures and losts at the beginning, but as you know, no pain no gain.
I hope these will help and let me know if you have more questions. I'm sure you will do well if you work hard on chart patterns and learn from your trading failures.
I sure have experienced lots of losses but I have learned a lot; at least that's what I tell myself to keep from getting depressed :) Thanks for the info.
